World Cup Japan!

On Saturday, Japan was playing the Netherlands! I went out to Shibuya with some of our interns and Amanda and had fun watching the game and watching the Japanese support their team!!

Here are some videos that Amanda put up!

You can see me in this one, giving a little shpeel.

This video shows how how crazy it was with all the Japanese intently watching the game! There were crowds like this ALL over Shibuya and we treked all over the place trying to find a restaurant we could sit in and watch the game at. But they were all crowded!!!

Too bad they lost! There is another game on Thursday though! This time, we will be early and try to get into a restaurant with a screen so we can watch it with a seat!

Hallelujah

ok so I'm tired, I smell like cigarette smoke bad, and I should have gone to sleep 30 minutes ago, but I want to send out a prayer request. We had a friendship party tonight, and there were so many good people there and so many great conversations about Jesus - it was amazing. Even more amazing, a girl we will call Shi-san, accepted Jesus into her heart!!! Please pray for her!! That God would protect her, that the seed that has taken root will be able to grow deep, that we would be able to meet up again soon, and that she will understand more what it means to have a relationship with God!! Thank you! I'll update soon when I have time...........

Kansas/Nebraska + Ca Baptist Univ Orientation

Yayyy first day of orientation! The Kansas/Nebraska team (about 30
students) and the California Baptist University Student team (about 10
students) are here in Tokyo now. Today consists of 1 hr of worship, 2
hours of orientation, lunch (this can be a little chaotic), prayer
walk at the government towers in Shinjuku that overlooks all of Tokyo
(thankfully today is a clear clear day), then 5 minute English (on the
east side of Shinjuku where there is a red light district and other
difficult areas), and then dinner.

Here is a picture of David Thrasher, one of our college interns,
leading worship time.
